TabTrade Review - A Look at This New CFD Broker

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that coverage is broad.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That would round things out when it lands.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the thing Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
